In a match where midfielder Joe Cole returned from a long-term knee injury, Chelsea defeated Queens Park Rangers 1-0. It was Cole's night after being out for 8 months when he ruptured ligaments in his knee. In the 52nd minute, Cole did a nice spin on the ball and sent it through to Simon Kalou, who put it in off the post. This proved to be the only goal of the game.
